BTS AT MESHKI HQ

Last Tuesday students from the college were lucky enough to attend a private tour of Meshki’s brand-new HQ, and it was nothing short of perfection. 

From the moment we steeped through the door, everyone was allured by the sleek and soothing beauty of the space. The foyer was filled with sample dresses, stunning marble features, and a personalised Meshki coffee machine which was definitely a fan favourite amongst the students.  

The tour was led by Meshki’s Head of People, the amazing Ashleigh Kwak. Very generously, Ash took us behind the scenes of their newly acquired and gorgeously renovated HQ. 

We were guided through their in-house design studio, cubicle workstations, photo shoot studio, common areas and even up to their staff-only penthouse gym! 

Later we were sat down in the boardroom with some of the powerful woman behind the brand to learn about their unique journeys, and what ultimately brought them to Meshki. 

When asked what advice they would give to young women and men starting out their careers in fashion, the women unanimously emphasised the value of learning from those with more experience. They explained how important it is to really soak up all of the knowledge available from the mentor figures that you will inevitably encounter when working in the industry; whether that be through employment, an internship or even on a one-off gig. 

Learning about the vastly different experiences and pathways all of the woman took to be successful where they are in their roles at Meshki today was massively inspiring to hear first hand, and we definitely can’t wait to be back again in the future!
