MY DAY AS A CONTENT CREATOR

In early October, I had the chance to collaborate with some incredibly talented peers for a content shoot with Priscilla’s Modeling Agency. Taking on the role of content creator, I worked alongside Izzy Jiang and Jess Patterson, who took on styling, and Jabez Pillay, our visionary Creative Director, whose leadership and creativity set the tone for the day.

Our day kicked off early at the NFC campus, where the buzz was unmistakable. I was greeted by the hair and makeup team and introduced to our models, Akuol Dau and Bridget Ruby Clarke, who brought such energy to the set. Being the content creator gave me the unique opportunity to chat with both models during intermissions. These conversations were insightful, giving me a better understanding of their experience in the industry and what they bring to each shoot. It felt like a rare, behind-the-scenes look at their lives, and it inspired me to capture that energy in my content.

As the day unfolded, the collaboration evolved seamlessly. Wesley Tan, our gifted in-house photographer, brought Jabez’s creative vision to life with each shot, and I captured some amazing behind-the-scenes footage, focusing on the detail that went into each look and pose. Izzy and Jess’s styling work was impeccable—they created looks that perfectly matched the creative direction, adding a layer of sophistication to the visuals. Working alongside such a skilled team taught me so much about the collaborative dynamics behind a professional shoot. Watching every element—hair, makeup, styling, and direction—come together was an invaluable experience, and the insights I gained from observing everyone’s craft was honestly unmatched.

It was an exhausting day, but the kind of rewarding exhaustion that reminds me why I’m so passionate about content creation in fashion!
