MY FIRST NFC EXPERIENCE: FARAGE RUNWAY SHOW

Attending the Farage runway show on Wednesday, July 10th, was an exhilarating experience that showcased a stunning blend of elegance and innovation. The event captivated with its meticulously curated designs and a vibrant atmosphere, reflecting the brand’s signature style. From the first look to the final walk, the show was a celebration of high fashion that left a lasting impression.
Working as a fashion assistant and stylist for the Farage runway show in Sydney offered me a lot of insight into the brand and developed my understanding of the new collection. The night was filled with the whirlwind of excitement of dressing models in multiple looks, each one more intricate and fabulous than the last. As the clock ticked down to showtime, myself and fellow students from the college were responsible for ensuring that every outfit was perfectly outfitted and impeccably styled, working with a sense of urgency and precision to make sure no detail was overlooked. Keeping track of multiple outfit changes as well as maintaining seamless communication among the team required an immense amount of focus and adaptability.
The backstage area, a hive of activity, was very well managed by the team in such a high pressure environment. Each moment was a balancing act between ensuring the models looked flawless as well as navigating the backstage hustle, where every second counted. Witnessing the culmination of our hard work on the runway was an incredibly rewarding experience, making all the stress and effort worthwhile.
Throughout the event, us students coordinated with the designer to conduct the challenging yet rewarding task of ensuring that all the models’ outfits made it to the runway show’s secondary show inside the main building. We planned every detail to ensure a smooth transition between the two locations; this involved all of the NFC students carefully transporting the outfits while maintaining their pristine condition, managing the logistics of timing and placement, and ensuring that each piece was perfectly aligned with the designer’s vision. Working closely with the designer, we made last-minute adjustments to ensure that the ensembles were flawless and that every model was runway-ready as they moved seamlessly from our backstage area to the adjacent venue. The collaboration of NFC students helped to create a cohesive and stunning presentation that showcased the designer's collection to its fullest potential.
