ALL STUDENTS AT NATIONAL FASHION COLLEGE ARE GUARANTEED INTERNSHIPS & WORK EXPERIENCE DURING THE COURSE OF THEIR STUDIES, AS WELL AS THE OPPORTUNITY TO ASSIST AT AFTERPAY AUSTRALIAN FASHION WEEK.
Internships & Work Experience are essential in the fashion industry, as they allow students the opportunity to explore a variety of industries and apply the theory they are learning in classes into practical scenarios.
National Fashion College facilitates individually tailored internships directly relating to the student's interests with the brands and companies they are eager to work with.
On average, On-Campus Students undertake at least four internships within their one-year of study, all organised and programmed by National Fashion College.
INTERNships
Internships are essential in the fashion industry, as they allow students the opportunity to explore a variety of industries and apply the theory they are learning in classes into practical scenarios.
National Fashion College facilitates individually tailored internships directly relating to the student's interests with the brands and companies they are eager to work with. On-Campus students commence Internships as soon as they start their studies, and online students have the flexibility of choosing when they wish to start.
Our Director meets with every student to carefully map out an internship plan throughout their studies, ensuring students are gaining invaluable work experience and paving the path to their dream career in the industry. Students are individually mentored and provided continuous support, allowing the college an opportunity to work on student’s strengths, weaknesses and ensure goals and aspirations are met.

An additional perk for On-Campus students is the hundreds of experiences National Fashion College offers in addition to Internships. Students have the opportunity to partake in one-off activities including photoshoots, events, runway shows, press launches, campaign activations, store pop-ups and retail marketing.
Students strongly gravitate towards Work Experience opportunities as they require limited commitment whilst providing exposure in various industries in the fashion community.
INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

National Fashion College is a proud partner with New York Fashion Week (NYFW).
The program allows students the opportunity to build international experience and contacts, heavily supporting their career development upon returning to Australia. The once-in-a-lifetime trip transforms students confidence and independence and places students into experiences with some of the globes most recognisable fashion brands, creatives and businesses.
