DIARY OF A VOGUE INTERN

My name is Johannah, I came to NFC not knowing what to do with my passion for fashion.

I began my journey with NFC in May 2023, and when it came time to decide what to do for my first internship, I chose VOGUE Australia.

This was an easy decision for me, as I knew it would give me the opportunity to learn more about the fashion industry and help me figure out which career path to pursue.

Now, as an intern at one of the world’s most iconic fashion magazines, I tackle a variety of different tasks that excite me to come in every single week, as no two days are the same.

I am fortunate enough to assist across photoshoots for the magazines, daily check ins/outs, and I especially love the fun trips to boutiques when arranging loans and sample returns.

Since being with the team, I have learnt some invaluable skills including understanding the process of coordinating high pressure shoots, as well as assisting across editorial campaigns, bridging and editing imagery, and conducting market/brand research.

I am incredibly excited for my future development and to see what I will achieve from interning with the team at VOGUE Australia.

I have met some amazing people and had great exposure to some wonderful experiences. From joining the team behind-the-scenes and seeing projects I’ve worked across become published, I truly appreciate and admire all of the individuals apart of my journey.
