GRADUATION ON NFC ISLAND

To the unknowing public, it may have seemed the Met Gala had come early… And was held in Australia for some reason, but NFC’s class of 2024 graduates knew it was only the most exciting moment of their careers. Embarking on NFC Island, the incredibly lavish and colourfully adorned cruise boat, we set out for our very last journey all together. 

Celebrations began with inspiring words from our favourite teachers at NFC, saluting hard work, dedication and a year of amazing outfits in class. The room was filled with an orchestra of cheering, applauding and excited screams as we went up one by one, being awarded with our graduation certificate. After photos with teachers, family and anyone we could pull away from their own photoshoot, everyone headed upstairs to enjoy more photo ops in front of the Sydney Harbour. 

The upper deck was brought to life with musical numbers performed by two of the hottest drag queens Sydney has to offer. NFC’s vibrant and whimsical vibe, that we’ve become so acquainted with, exuded from the dance floor. Pumping nostalgic pop up and downstairs, the partygoers of this graduation became a blend of life and freedom, symbolic of our next chapters.

An array of colours and styles filled the space with personality and individuality and all I could do was reflect on everything my classmates and I achieved in 2024. All thanks to NFC, I had the chance to visit the one place I've always dreamt of going, New York, assisted at two major Fashion Weeks and too many events to count. I completed three internships with incredible companies and made so many relationships that I know will last my entire fashion career. I am so proud of myself and my fellow classmates. 

Congratulations to all the class of 2024 graduates and thank you to NFC for the perfect celebration before we all go our separate ways. I'm excited to see at our 10 year reunion, who will become the next Anna Wintour.
