It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a week since I started my journey at the National Fashion College (NFC) in Sydney. Wow, where do I even begin?
New Beginnings

Hey there, I’m Merari! I’ve relocated from Perth to Sydney to pursue my passion at NFC, and so far, it’s been everything I could’ve hoped for and more.
A Welcoming Class Environment: One of the first things that struck me was how welcoming everyone was. Thanks to activities and a group presentation we were assigned, I got to meet my classmates. The presentation task was a fantastic icebreaker, it had us working together to create a visually appealing speech. It was a fun challenge, and we all amazed ourselves with our teamwork, skills, and the outcome of our first presentation. The same can be said for the entire class, they all did an outstanding job, and I'm excited to collaborate with them in the future. Additionally, our teacher offered valuable feedback that will help us improve moving forward. It’s refreshing to be in an environment where everyone is motivated, kind, and eager to connect.
NFC: Where Quality Meets Opportunity: If there's one thing I can say for sure, it's that they genuinely care about our success. Everyone is invested in helping us grow and achieve our full potential. They put in tremendous effort to create the best possible environment, and it’s evident in their passion and dedication.
Each week, we have the incredible opportunity to meet industry professionals through networking events. Not only does this give us a chance to connect and ask questions, but we also get valuable insights into the industry and advice on how to carve our career paths. It’s a unique and invaluable experience that’s so convenient, considering it’s all hosted on campus.

Top-Notch Facilities: Speaking of the campus, the facilities are nothing short of impressive. We have a state-of-the-art classroom, a photoshoot/media room for hands-on experience, and a spacious common room where we can relax, chat, and refuel.
Looking Ahead
In short, my first week at NFC has been unforgettable. I can’t thank the staff enough for creating such a welcoming and inspiring environment. Every session feels like a new opportunity to learn, grow, and challenge myself. I'm beyond excited for the rest of the year and can’t wait to see where this journey takes me.
