NFC Pride Party

WORDS BY NFC STUDENT LUCY GLANVILLE

On March 1st, NFC’s Pride Party was hosted for Mardi Gras at the stunning campus and was such a wonderful experience!

When I first entered, the music was all through the building and the decorations were just incredible. There were rainbow lights through the hallway, streamers over the windows and on the dance floor that we had lots of fun dancing through and getting lots of photos and video.

I was immediately greeted when I got there and everyone was so excited and happy, complements on people outfits and makeup were what kept the conversations buzzing.

One cool feature included at the party was the GLAM ROOM where there was a Makeup Artist and Sephora products to get glammed with, or refresh your look to keep it going until the end of the night.

The entertainment was super fun as well! The DJ was playing hit after hit and knew how to keep the crowd vibing and kept most people dancing almost all night. Vendetta the Drag Queen’s performances was one of my favourite things to happen at the party that night, she had such energy when performing and would include and interact with student during her lip-sync, Vendetta would bring people into the centre to dance around with her, and I was one of those people, which was the funniest thing ever!

Bryce and the NFC Team also provided some pizza for everyone, which was an obvious hit because who doesn’t like pizza? The party was right at the beginning of the term, so a lot of the students were still getting to know each other, but the party definitely helped break the ice and was a good way of meeting students from other classes and getting to know more about the students in my class.

The Pride Party brought the students of NFC together in such a fantastic way, and I had the best time celebrating Mardi Gras!
